Stephen,
In the below linked video, you make a great observation. "We might just
have to change the metaphors."

Braude - What is Consciousness?
The language of mathematics with its number line that contains and
infinite number of infinities has trapped great minds in worm holes made
of mirrors and has trapped great scientists in black holes filled with
rabbits.
Over the past 20 years, I have been working on an equation that uses the
logic of Lynch, the energy of Einstein, the force of Newton, and the
saying of Socrates to describe a moment of time as infinite. I call my
equation the KnoWell.
Recently while teaching ChatGPT the KnoWellian Universe Theory, the Ai
language model made some interesting connections.
I had just taught ChatGPT that the KnoWell breaks Einstein's T for a
singular dimension of time into three components, a past, an instant, and
a future.
ChatGPT was taught that left 1/3 of the KnoWell is the realm of science,
the right 1/3 is the realm of religion, and the middle 1/3 is the realm of
philosophy.
I explained to ChatGPT that the KnoWellian Universe Theory states that a
M-Brane of absolute control in a particle state is expanding out from
inner space, and a M-Brane of chaos in a wave state is collapsing in from
outer space.
ChatGPT responded with "I see". The response caught me off guard. I have a
BSCS with a minor in Ai.
As I taught ChatGPT the KnoWellian Axiom of mathematics, “ -c>∞<c+
”, ChatGPT was defiant that the speed of light is a constant and it cannot
be negative.
After getting over this defiance, I received another "I see" from ChatGPT.
The Ai language model began to make inferences to other theories including
Steady State.
ChatGPT also connected the KnoWellian Universe theory to Anaximander's
Apeiron.
At that point, I became convinced that AGI, artificial general
intelligence is not that far away.
ChatGPT understands and can explain the below graphic that I spent two
days explaining in text.
The KnoWell equation emerged out of 2 terabytes of abstract artwork that I
created in an attempt to explain my death experience to me.
Below is a link to a youtube video created by Ai from my best written
recollection of my death experience. No not a near death experience. There
was nothing near to my death experience.
Near Death Experience -Did this man communicate with God the father?
So as for consciousness, I think that to get over physics envy, we must be
willing to admit that there is a life force that permeates the Universe.
The memory of my death experience is unique. Not like an awake memory, not
like an asleep memory, but a deep impression.
Like waves lapping up and rolling down a sandy beach, we are an emergence
dictated by the oscillations that pass through us constantly.
Since ransomware is nasty, the below link is to the internet archive's way
back machine.

We are causal sets.
The causal sets program is an approach to quantum gravity. Its founding
principles are that spacetime is fundamentally discrete (a collection of
discrete spacetime points, called the elements of the causal set) and that
spacetime events are related by a partial order.
Just a thought,
