Robert,
The Tia Ghose article quotes you as saying,
"This expansion causes lots of stuff to shake around, and if we shake it too much,
we could go into this new energy space, which could cause the universe to collapse."

"The emergence of the Universe is the precipitation of Chaos through the evaporation of Control." ~3K
A decade ago,
I stumbled into a concept that has matured into an equation that uses the energy of Einstein, the force of Newton,
and the logic of Socrates to describe a moment of time as infinite.
I call the equation the KnoWell.

The KnoWell strongly suggests that pure Chaos is collapsing from the farthest reach of outer space,
and that absolute control is expanding from the nearest reach of inner space. In the below linked letter to Fay dower,
I apply the KnoWell to some of the questions raised by current cosmological observations.

The Dowker letter uses a new axiom of Mathematics derived from the KnoWell, “ -c>∞<c+ ”.
The -c is energy in a particle state emerging from the infinite moment, and the c+ is energy is a wave state collapsing into the infinite moment.
The KnoWell's infinity is small.
If the big Bang shook things into this new energy space, and the shaking was enough to create a wave front of pure Chaos,
the KnoWell could be used to explain how the Universe is in a steady state oscillation between Chaos/collapse and Control/expansion.
The Dowker letter suggests that the three degrees kelvin is a result of the friction between
Chaos/dark matter and Control/dark energy exchanging places in time space.
Below is a link to a collection of letters that I have written asking for input regarding the KnoWell.
